BURRILLVILLE – The owners of a restaurant that has served up classic comfort food, live music and outdoor drinks for some 15 years have announced that they will soon retire, putting the business up for sale this week for $1.3 million.

Owners Ron “Ronnie,” Dumas and Paula Dumas have listed Uncle Ronnie’s Red Tavern with ReMax,  and are selling the one acre property at 2692 Victory Highway.

The restaurant, previously known as Gus’ Red Tavern, has a bar area with seating for more than 20 people, plus high top tables, a dining room, outdoor deck and banquet facility.  The Dumases have served classic American fare, including steaks, seafood, pasta, burgers, salads, chowder and more, since they opened the business in 2006, and also offered live music on the weekends.

The restaurant has long hosted The Burrillville Lions Club’s bi-weekly meetings.

Previously owned by John and Emma Duguay, the two-story building was built in 1940 and purchased in 2004 from Lucky Starz, LLC for $280,000. According to town property records, the structure has 9,247 square feet of space, including the basement and a four-bedroom apartment on the second floor.
