NORTH SMITHFIELD – Nine of the ten candidates for North Smithfield Town Council participated in a forum on Wednesday, Oct. 21, answering questions submitted by NRI NOW readers.
Candidate Claire O’Hara experienced technical issues and was unable to attend the virtual meeting. O’Hara had planned to take part in the event, and NRI NOW hopes to work with the candidate to offer her an additional chance to reach out to voters.
Those present weighed in on topics including solar planning, inclusivity, and school funding. Due to technical issues of our own, an introduction to the forum was not recorded.
All information shared by the candidates, however, was captured and streamed on Facebook Live for hundreds of viewers. It will remain on the NRI NOW Facebook page through Tuesday, Nov. 3, where it can be viewed and shared.
