BURRILLVILLE – Who has the best taco in the state of Rhode Island?
Burrillville’s Taco Shop gets the honor, according to a nationally-publicized article this week on MSN.
The news outlet used reviews on Yelp to choose one restaurant from each state.
“They identified businesses in the restaurants and food categories with a large concentration of reviews mentioning ‘taco,’ then ranked those spots using a number of factors, including the total volume and ratings of reviews mentioning ‘taco,'” the article notes.
And in the Ocean State, it was the Chapel Street restaurant’s Pork Belly Taco that impressed the most Yelpers.
“Pork belly tacos for the win!!! Everything tasted super fresh and went together so well,” one Yelper wrote. Now that’s what we like to hear..,” noted the piece, published on Friday, Aug. 14.
Locally owned and operated by Burrillville’s own Angela Vietro, the restaurant aims to offer an inventive and unique take on tacos and burritos, with specials like this week’s “Steak & Pickle Pocket” and “Beefy Tomato Mac Soup.”
