NORTH SMITHFIELD – Town residents will soon have a new, local option for quick, casual dining and food delivery.

Domino’s Pizza has plans to open a location in Slatersville Plaza at 900 Victory Highway.

The restaurant will occupy Unit 15 , a 1,600-square-foot space between H & R Block and Salon 900. The space was last occupied by Crazy Daisy, before the consignment shop moved to St. Paul Street in 2015.

The company website currently states that hours at the soon-to-open North Smithfield location will be 24-hours-a-day, seven days a week, although it appears as though the restaurant has not yet gone through the process to obtain a 24 hour/day license.

The restaurant is, of course, known for its pizza, but also sells chicken, sandwiches, pasta, breads, sides and desserts. Pizza options at restaurant include pies with BBQ or Alfredo sauce, and a crust that is gluten-free.

Headquartered in Michigan, the Domino’s corporation opened its first store in Ann Arbor in 1960. According to the company website, the restaurant chain now has 12,000 stores in 80 plus countries. It was declared the largest pizza seller worldwide in terms of sales in 2018.

Currently, the closest location for North Smithfield residents is at 194 Main St. in Woonsocket.

Domino’s is now hiring customer service representatives and delivery drivers for the Slatersville location. Those interested are asked to apply at jobs.dominos.com.
