Alashan Cashmere is seeking a full-time customer service representative. The individual will be responsible for acting as a liaison between customers as well as sales representatives and the company. Job entails carrying out and assisting with entering orders, account questions, complaints, billing, returns, cancellations and other queries. Accuracy and attention to detail a must. Experience with SAGE 100 is a strong plus and two years of experience in a customer service capacity required..

At the libraries

Pascoag Public Library presents “Planting Your Family Tree: How to Get Started in Genealogy” by Kathan Mospaw Lambert president of Roger Williams Family Associationon Monday, July 15 starting at 6 p.m.. Materials will be provided and refreshments will be served. Reservations appreciated but not required.

Jesse Smith Memorial Library will present Fantastic Stories with the Mutual UFO Network on Monday, July 15 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Join Eric Smith, lead investigator of MUFON of RI as he presents recent local UFO cases and stories.

On Thursday, July 18 Pascoag library will hold Circus Dynamics as part of the Universe of Stories Summer Reading Program. Blast into orbit with an exciting and educational circus variety show all about the solar system! Learn about the sun, the planets, orbits, the moon, gravity, light waves, and the vastness of space. Each topic is explored in a fun and engaging way using a variety of circus props including hula hoops, juggling balls, spinning plates, and more! Fun for the whole family. On Friday, July 19, the Pascoag library will host a puppet show with Burt the Racoon starting at 11 a.m.

Donate junk cars

The Pascoag Fire Department is currently seeking donations of junk cars to be used for training. Cars must be local and can be picked up. If you have a car you are willing to donate contact the Pascoag Fire Department

The Oakland Mapleville Fire Department is seeking vendors to take part in their annual Field Day to be held Sept. 1. Those interested should contact Stephanie Ashley Bruscini.

Park improvement group meets

A committee to explore options for upgrades to the field and track at Burrilliville Middle School is up and running, and will be meeting Monday, July 15 at the School Administration Building. The Branch River Park & Track Exploratory Committee will meet at 6 p.m. at 2300 Broncos Highway for an agenda that can be found here.
