BURRILLVILLE – A Burrillville man who shared explicit video and photographs of his ex girlfriend with another man the former couple met through an amateur wrestling group was arrested after the video was published online.

Joshua Ferland, 26, of Burrillville was charged with unauthorized dissemination of indecent materials, along with the man who reportedly posted the images, 37-year-old Clifford Chris Sullivan of Coventry.

According to police, an investigation began on Friday, Dec. 14 when the 23-year-old victim filed a report, noting that video and pictures she had shared privately with Ferland, her former boyfriend of three years, had turned up online.

Still frames of a video were published on a website that has since been disabled by the FBI in attempt to curb revenge porn and human trafficking, and an entire video had been uploaded to a different site.

Ferland admitted to the victim, and later police, to having shared the video with Sullivan, a common acquaintance, after he expressed interest in the victim.

The victim told police Sullivan would “constantly hit on her,” when she was around the amateur wrestling group, and that the video surfaced after she denied his advances.

Messages between Sullivan and multiple women involved with the Pawtucket-based group  Renegade Wrestling Alliance have since been published on a page dubbed “Creepbusters – Exposing Pro Wrestling Creepers.”

Sullivan reportedly admitted to posting the materials and told police he didn’t know why, and that he wasn’t mad at the victim at the time, but that was now because he was in trouble.

Ferland has been ordered to appear in 6th Division Court on Jan. 8, and Sullivan has a summons to appear on Jan. 22.

Editor’s note: The above article has been edited to correctly reflect the name of the man charged, Joshua Ferland. An original version incorrectly identified him as Jason Ferland.
