Four suspects arrested for stealing marijuana from Burrillville home

BURRILLVILLE – Burrillville police arrested four town residents believed to be involved in a larceny this week, and three admitted to breaking into a man’s home to steal his marijuana.

Bryan E. Hester, 20; Patrick W. O’Connor, 23; Jude E. Greene, 20 and Jamison Colburn, 18, all of Burrillville were arrested on Tuesday, Dec. 18 in connection with the crime.

According to police, the investigation began on Sunday, Dec. 2 as a result of a call placed to the department by a Burrillville resident reporting that his home had been entered and his legal marijuana grow stolen. Video surveillance was obtained, which reportedly assisted officers in identifying some of the suspects.

On Monday, Dec. 17, Burrillville police officers responded to an assault complaint in Pascoag, and reportedly recognized two of the subjects involved in the breaking and entering. A third subject who fled the scene was also identified as a suspect.

All three subjects were brought into police headquarters for questioning, with all of them admitting to their involvement in the breaking and entering. During questioning a fourth subject was also reportedly implicated.

Hester was charged with two counts of burglary, two counts of larceny and one count of conspiracy. He also faces charges of disorderly conduct and vandalism for his role in the assault complaint.

Colburn was charged with two counts of burglary, two counts of larceny and one count of conspiracy.

Greene and O’Connor face one count of burglary, one count of larceny and one count of conspiracy each.
