BURRILLVILLE – A collision on Route 102 on Tuesday, June 19 caused a brief shut down of the road, but the the drivers escaped with just minor injuries according to Burrillville Police.
The accident took place during rush hour, closing the road from Douglas Pike to East Avenue, near Bella’s Restaurant. Two individuals were transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
A spokesman from BPD was not available Tuesday evening, but a dispatcher confirmed that the accident was minor, and the road closed only briefly due to the position of the vehicles.
The road has been the site of many accidents, including several fatalities over the past several years.
