Wide World of Indoor Sports is now accepting registration for a July/August Soccer Clinic. Clinics will begin during the second week of July and are expected to sell out. The clinics are open for kids ages 7-15.

Rep. Brian Newberry has announced that he will be holding an outdoor event at his home to allow political candidates in North Smithfield to get their nomination papers signed.
Newberry notes that it will be harder for the candidates to get the needed signatures this year because of Covid-19, but that he has plenty of space and everyone will get their own pen.
The signature party will be held on Thursday, July 2 from 4-8 p.m. at 53 Follett St.
It will be an unusually quiet Fourth of July for many this year with statewide restrictions still limiting crowd sizes. North Smithfield’s annual fireworks display has been cancelled, but town officials note that they are planning the biggest display yet for 2021.
Town offices will be closed to celebrate the holiday beginning at 4 p.m. on Thursday, July 2 and will reopen Monday, July 6.
Citizen group Engage North Smithfield has announced the launch of a new website, where residents can go to link up with local news and events, learn about the organization’s mission or keep abreast of the its activities.
