BURRILLVILLE – Members of the Burrillville High School Class of 2020 were recognized for their achievements in a video presentation by the district this week, a way to acknowledging the hard-working scholars while adhering to distancing guidelines.
“While circumstances do not allow us to celebrate in person, it is our sincere hope that this presentation will pay appropriate tribute to the works and achievements of these fine individuals,” said Director of Guidance Peter Berthelette, who served as narrator for the presentation.
Members of the class have been offered a total of $445,000.00 in awards and scholarships. Those recognized for academic excellence will be permanently memorialized with their names engraved on a plaque at the school.
Students who completed BHS Pathways with a specialized area focus of were also recognized during the 46-minute video.
“We are proud of the growth and development of all of our career and technical pathways,” said Berthelette.
“Burrillville is a town of deep and lasting heritage,” he noted to this year’s crop of graduates. “You are now part of its finest traditions and that rich heritage.”
