Farmer’s market, Poker Run: Five things to know in Burrillville this weekend

Farmer’s market

The Burrillville Farmer’s Market opens for the season on Saturday, June 1 at 9:30 a.m. at Stillwater Mill. The opening will feature music by David Laprise of Accordion Cool, and new and old vendors, as well as face painting and activities for kids.

Poker Run

Also on Saturday, the Patriots Riders will hold a Poker Run and Pig Roast starting and ending at St. Joseph’s Veteran Association in Woonsocket to benefit Burrillville-based veteran Paul Tellier. The cost is $20 for riders or $10 for passengers, and registration will be held from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Beach opening

Art camp

The Burrillville Parks and Recreation Department will be offering summer art classes at the recreation center on Lodge Road for children ages 6-12. Classes will run July 22 -25 and August 5-8 and cost $100 for each session. Learn more and register here.
