Explore the farm with BLT
The Burrillville Land Trust will hold their annual meeting on Saturday, May 4 starting at 3:30 p.m. at Grace Note Farm with special guest Kate McPherson from Save the Bay. The event will kick off with exploration of water around the farm, followed by the annual meeting and presentation. All are welcome and desserts and light bites will be provided.
BHS Football Booster Dinner & Comedy Show
A dinner and comedy show to benefit Burrillville High School Football Booster club will take place on Saturday beginning at 6 p.m. at Wallum Lake Rod & Gun Club. Enjoy a night of fun and laughter featuring Mike Hanley at this Cinco de Mayo-themed event, with a full cash bar, food and raffles. 21 plus only. Tickets cost $25 and can be purchased by calling Kelly Cardone at 714-9981.
At the Assembly
On Saturday, catch Robert Black & the Elvis Express at the Assembly Theatre. This Vegas-style entertainer has been rated the #1 Elvis tribute band in the northeast.The show cost $15 and starts at 9:30 p.m.
Renowned juggler Eric Gardini present Bending Gravity at the Assembly on Sunday starting at 2 p.m. This family-friendly show costs $10, $7 for children ages 6-12, and is free for children 5 and under.
Join the sale
The Patrons of the Assembly Theatre will hold a Community Yard Sale on Saturday, May 25 and residents are invited to set up a table. A 10 X 10 site cost $10 and table rentals are $5 each. Email firstname.lastname@example.org or call (401) 710-9015 for an application.
Sunday is Cinco de Mayo and the Taco Shop, which would normally be closed, will be open from noon to 8 p.m. to celebrate.
