BURRILLVILLE – A Harrisville man is facing charges of assault, vandalism and disorderly conduct after an argument with the mother of his child allegedly led him to jump on top of her car, tear off the vehicle’s door handle, and throw it at her.

Corey Letendre, 23, was arrested on Monday, Jan. 28 for the incident, reported to police by the victim, a 25-year-old female.

According to reports, the victim told officers she was in a verbal argument with Letendre over their 3-year-old son when he jumped on top of her blue Subaru wagon. The woman said Letendre tore the driver’s side door handle off the car in anger and threw it at her.

Letendre was brought before a bail commissioner and released on a summons to appear in 6th District Court at a later date.
