Discovery Museum

If you haven’t taken advantage of a Free Fun Friday, the series of summer events put on by the Highland Street Foundation, no worries, there are still four more to go. My family tried out the Discovery Museum in Acton, Mass. We all had a blast!

We packed a picnic lunch, and though there were picnic tables we decided to eat on the grass. The staff was so helpful and friendly, and they paved the way for an exciting adventure.

Some activities included an outdoor tree house with crafts and activites inside. Below were a multitude of swings, ropes, and hammocks.

I found the inside to be set up similar to The Providence Children’s Museum. The large building housed individual rooms that had hands-on music, building, water activities, etc.

Annalise Amendee tries out one of the many interactive activities at the Discovery Museum.

Total Cost: $10 in gas
