Cowpunk
The Island at 1600 Victory Highway in nearby North Smithfield will host a “cowpunk” show from 6 to 20 p.m. on Friday, June 22. The free show will feature music by Jesse Braintree & The Hogg Brothers and Screwtop Sommeliers.
Summer Meals Program
During the school year, nearly 76,000 Rhode Island students receive meals daily through the National School Lunch Program. Farmer’s Market
The town’s weekly Saturday Farmer’s Market will take place at from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Stillwater Mill Pavilion. Stop by to pick up the freshest products made by local farmers as well as arts, crafts and entertainment. Learn more about the bi-weekly events here.
Cruisin’ for Cancer Cure
Thompson Speedway will host the 15th annual Cruisin’ for Cancer Cure on Sunday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Hundreds of motorcyclists and classic car enthusiasts attend every year to enjoy a scenic cruise through Northeastern Connecticut. The cruise will start and end at the Thompson Speedway. Participants are asked to register www.daykimball.org/cruisin at a cost of $15 per person or $25 per couple and includes the Cruise ending with a few laps around the Thompson Speedway track, as well as entry to the Vintage Motorcycle Classic, happening at the Speedway that day.
