Spring Lake Beach reopens

We may have mentioned this already here, but Spring Lake Beach opens tomorrow, and admission for the day is free. Season passes will be on sale at the venue. Need we say more?

Memorial Day observance

The Burrillville Allied Veterans Council American Legion Post 17 and 88 and VFW Post 1023 will hold a Memorial Day ceremony on Monday starting at 11 a.m. at Freedom Park. The ceremony will include a performance by the Burrillville High School Band.

Raffle items needed

The Burrillville Parks & Recreation Department will be having raffle tables at the
27th annual Burrillville Family Fair scheduled for Saturday, June 16 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The department is looking for help with raffle item and baskets. All proceeds will benefit the
Burrillville Weekend Snack Pack fundraising campaign.

For more information, contact the Burrillville Parks & Recreation Department at 568-9470 or cconway@burrillville.org .

Budget hearings

The Burrillville Town Council is currently reviewing budget requests for the upcoming fiscal year. The hearing on the municipal budget took place on Thursday, but you can still weigh in on the School Department budget at a hearing this week.

Camp out

Memorial Day weekend is also the start of the camping season for many, and you can get a taste of the great outdoors right here in town. Both Echo Lake Campground and Oakleaf Family Campground are open, and have activities and events throughout the weekend.
