Burrillville Police arrest sex offender, charge man with possession of narcotics

BURRILLVILLE- A Pascoag man is facing narcotics charges following his arrest by members of the Burrillville Police Department on Friday, April 6.

Shane W. Davis, 28, of 186 Sayles Ave. was arrested around 6 a.m. according to police records, and charged with manufacturing/possession/delivery of schedule I and II drugs, and two counts of possession of a schedule I through V narcotic

Davis was held overnight and transported to 6th District Court the following morning for his arraignment.

Salisbury

On Thursday, April 12 around 2 p.m., Burrillville police arrested Michael R. Salisbury, 33, of 233 High St., Woonsocket.

Salisbury was taken into custody on two outstanding warrants issued out of Rhode Island Superior Court and was also charged with a Sexual Offender Address Change. He was previously convicted of second degree sexual assault of a 26-year-old victim known to him and had reportedly not registered his new Woonsocket address with police after leaving Burrillville.

Salisbury was transported to the ACI to await his arraignment on the Superior Court warrants.

The arrests were reportedly among 704 calls for service that the department received for the week of April 6 to April 13. Police and emergency personnel also responded to 28 emergency medical calls, one alleged motor vehicle theft, seven motor vehicle crashes, 17 follow up investigations, and made 122 traffic stops, among other activities according to police records.
