Blasting

The Glocester Police Department is notifying residents that Vinagro will be blasting today, Tuesday, April 8, at their job site at 812 Putnam Pike between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.

Hummingbirds

Harmony Library at 195 Putnam Pike will host a representative from the Audubon on Tuesday, April 8 starting at 6 p.m. to speak about hummingbirds – just in time for the season. Guests must register to attend the event by visiting https://www.glocesterlibraries.org/events.html

Meet & greet

The Ponaganset Education Foundation will host a meet and greet event at Assados Kitchen & Bar at 102 Putnam Pike on Thursday, April 10 from 4 to 7 p.m. Those interested in learning what the organization does and hearing about opportunities to help support events, teacher grants or student scholarships are invited to stop in to enjoy light refreshments and casual conversation.

Dreams Without Limits

The Ability Bridge and Tri-M Chapter 7716 will host a cabaret fundraiser in the auditorium of Ponaganset High School at 137 Anan Wade Road on Thursday, April 10 at 6 p.m., an event organized by Senior Olivia Picard. The “Dreams Without Limits: Where Inclusion Takes Center Stage” cabaret will showcase local talent while helping support inclusive programs, resources, and opportunities for individuals with disabilities.

Tickets will cost $5 for students and $10 for adults and will go to support the local organizations.

Comedy night

John Perrotta’s Comedy Factory will hold a Comedy Night at Hill’s Tavern and Grill at 417 Putnam Pike on Thursday, April 10 starting at 7:30 p.m., with doors to open at 6:30 p.m. Tickets cost $15 and can be reserved by calling the Comedy Factory Comedy Hotline at (401) 639-7726. Comics will include: John Perrotta, Rockin’ Joe Hebert, David Morgan, Caren Lioce, Brian Vincent, Elaine Pelino, Debbie DiBiasio, and Hill’s Tavern’s own Al Hill.

Open House

Big John’s Wood Joint at 15 Money Hill Road will host an Open House on Saturday, April 12 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. to celebrate their recent opening. Visit the shop to meet the owners of the new Glocester business, and enjoy raffles and prizes.

Egg Hunt

The town’s annual Easter Egg Hunt will take place on Saturday, April 12 starting at 11 a.m. on the lawn of Town Hall at 1145 Putnam Pike. Children age 10 and under are invited to participate and should bring a basket. No registration is required.

The event was postponed from the original date of April 5 due to weather.

The Glocester Housing Authority will not hold a meeting on Tuesday, April 8.
