NORTH SMITHFIELD – The North Smithfield Police Department has arrested and charged a third person believed to be involved in a burglary last August of a Slatersville-based business.
In the incident, caught on security camera last year, a vehicle backed into the glass door of The Juice Box Vape Shop at 921 Victory Highway on Wednesday, August 14, and three males force their way in, stealing bags of supplies and emptying the cash register.
“After a lengthy investigation involving several Massachusetts police agencies, detectives identified three juvenile suspects,” noted Capt. Ellen Lamoreaux in a release.
Two of the juveniles were arrested and charged in December.
According to police, on Monday, March 31, the third juvenile identified during the investigation was arrested and charged in family court.
The incident had marked the second time the business was burglarized in less than a year. In December of 2023, masked thieves smashed through the front door of the business stealing cash and other supplies.
