Detour

Those who have yet to travel Route 102 since the closure on Friday, should know that detours are now in place, with traffic heading northbound directed down Central Street, and only local traffic allowed to access Clear River Drive. The detour then sends cars eastbound on East Avenue, back toward Route 102. A temporary traffic light will manage the uptick at the intersection of Harrisville Main Street and East Avenue.

Traffic heading southbound on Route 102 is detoured down East Avenue, where then left at Harrisville Main Street to Central Street and back towards Route 102. Only local traffic can access Whipple Avenue from East Avenue while the detour is in place.

Detour maps are available at www.ridot.net/DetourMaps. The road is expected to reopen by the end of summer.

In the Garden

Jenza’a Garden at 470 South Main St. Pascoag will hold an Open Garden on Tuesday, June 25 from 5:15 to 7 p.m. with guests invited volunteer or just visit. On Thursday, June 27 starting at 6 p.m., the garden will host a workshop on flower essences. The event costs $30 per person and will include a Q&A followed by readings, with participants to leave with their flower essence and a labyrinth journal. Learn more and reserve a spot here
