N.S. police investigating death of woman found at Hilltop Inn

NORTH SMITHFIELD – An investigation is underway in the death of a 45-year-old woman found dead at a hotel on Eddie Dowling Highway, according to police.

Jennifer Gilmore of North Smithfield was found dead at Hilltop Motor Inn on Sunday, March 26.

A New York native, Gilmore, who lived in North Smithfield, worked as a waitress at Serio’s restaurant in Woonsocket for several years according to her obituary. The mother of three will have a private funeral and burial at S.DiPardo Memorial Chapel Funeral Home in Woonsocket.

In a statement, the North Smithfield Police Department said there is currently an open investigation of Gilmore’s death.

“Our active investigation suggests there is no imminent threat to the community,” police stated.

Due to the ongoing investigation, police said no further information is available at this time.

I remember sitting with u daily at safe haven we literally cried over each others stories of everyday life this was hard to handle cause it definitely doesn’t make sense but as always I’m sure the truth will never be found they will just come up with their own reason what happen to u but just know u we’re loved ma ur with Jesus now and no one can ever hurt u miss u sm
