KBVB Anti-litter walk

Keep Blackstone Valley Beautiful’s anti-litter walking initiative comes to Glocester this week, held in collaboration with Rhode Island First Lady Susan McKee. The town-based walk will cover a two-mile route starting at 1 p.m. on Thursday, March 9.

Participants will get exercise while picking up any litter they see with grabbers. Walkers will meet at the Smith & Sayles Reservoir at 82 Sand Dam Road in Chepachet.

The walks will continue in the coming weeks, heading to all ten Rhode Island Blackstone Valley communities promoting, “Keep Rhody Litter Free,” an award-winning website encouraging residents to help clean up outdoor spaces and preserve natural heritage. Complete walk schedules for each community with date and sign up links are available at Keep Blackstone Valley Beautiful websiteFacebook and LitterFree.RI.gov.
