Tech support

ATEL Tech Time is offering technology support for older adults with smart phones and tablets on Friday, Feb. 10. Free 30-minute one-on-one sessions are available at Bradford, Ashton and Stillwater housing complexes from 12:30 to 4 p.m.

Kick-a-thon

Village Martial Arts at 172 Chapel St. will hold a charity kick-a-thon on Sunday, Feb. 12, to raise funds for Burrillville Animal Control, starting at 12:30 p.m. Members of the public can pledge towards a student’s or instructor’s kicks, or bring a donation on the day of the event.

“Ah, the Birds”

Grace Note Farm will host the latest concert in the Music at the Farm series, dubbed “Ah, the Birds,” on Sunday, Feb. 12 with artists in residence Virginia Sindelar on flute and Elias Dagher on piano. Tickets for the concerts, now in their sixth season, start at 2 p.m. and cost $30.

Dinner dance

The Burrillville Lions Club and the Knights of Columbus will hold their annual dinner dance at Bella Restaurant at 1992 Victory Highway on Sunday, Feb. 12 from noon to 5 p.m. The event will include dinner, raffles and live music by The Bel Aires. Tickets cost $35 with all proceeds to benefit local charities.

Town meetings

The Burrillville Planning Board will hold a meeting on Monday, Feb. 6 starting at 7 p.m. in the community room at Jesse Smith Memorial Library. The agenda is here.

The Nasonville Fire District will hold a special meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 7 starting at 7 p.m., where voters are expected to have the chance to approve or reject the proposed merger with the Oakland Mapleville Fire District. The agenda is here.

The Burrillville Housing Authority will hold a meeting on Wednesday, Feb. 8 starting at 6:30 p.m. in the Aston Court community room. The agenda is here.

The Burrillville Town Council will hold a meeting on Wednesday, Feb. 8 starting at 7 p.m. in the town building at 105 Harrisville Main St. The agenda is here.

The Oakland Mapleville Fire District will hold a special meeting on Wednesday, Feb. 8 at the fire station at 46 Oakland School St. starting at 7 p.m., where that district’s voters will have a chance to weigh in on the proposed merger with Nasonville. The agenda is here.

The Burrillville Budget Board will hold a meeting on Thursday, Feb. 9 at the town building at 105 Harrisville Main St. starting at 6:30 p.m. The agenda is here.
