GLOCESTER — The CVS in Glocester was temporarily closed Tuesday afternoon after a woman drove her car directly into the building.

No one was injured in the accident, but the crash created a hole in the wall of the structure at 1068 Putnam Pike around 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 29.

The drive was taken to a hospital for evaluation and those picking up prescriptions were directed to other CVS locations.

The store was reopened for business on Wednesday.

It was one of two CVS stores in the region hit by a vehicle on Tuesday. A store in Whitman, Mass., was also struck by a car Tuesday night.
