BURRILLVILLE – The space that once held Thai Royal is soon set to open as a new restaurant, once again serving up Asian cuisine to hungry village visitors.

“Thai Wok Pascoag Street Food,” is seeking victualing, entertainment and liquor licenses, with a public hearing before members of the Burrillville Town Council scheduled for Monday, Nov. 21.

An application from Samane Enterprise, LLC for 98 Pascoag Main St. includes plans to serve beverages on the building’s outdoor deck. The LLC was created in October by Billy Vongphakdy, according to records with the Rhode Island Secretary of State.

According to Burrillville Redevelopment Agency Chairman Jim Langlois, the restaurant will lease space in the building owned by Steven Depina of Woodstock, Conn. since 2014, and has been renovating the property. The previous restaurant to operate in the space, Thai Royal, closed in May.

The 2.5 story structure was built in 1937 according to town property records, and features 2,561-square-feet of space on a .075 acre lot including an enclosed porch and wood deck overlooking a waterfall on the Pascoag River.
