Waterfall Candy drive

Resident Stacey Slekis is currently collecting unopened bags of candy to help out residents who live in the Steere Street area, which she notes is heavily trafficked each year by trick-or treaters. Slekis, who is holding the drive for a third consecutive year, noted that houses are generally close together and well-decorated in the area, making it an attractive place to bring kids. She said she will drop off the bags to random houses the week prior to Halloween

Those who want to donate candy should contact Slekis for pickup.

Early voting across the state begins this week on Wednesday, Oct. 19, and will continue through Monday, Nov. 7 at 4 p.m. In Burrillville, early voting will be held at the American Legion Hall at 103 Harrisville Main St. during normal business hours. Voters are asked to use the Town Hall parking lot.
