Northern, RI – These pets are dressed to impress and competing for prizes – and their proud owners are helping to raise funds for a local animal shelter.

The latest batch of entries in our Howl-O-Ween, Meowl-O-Ween & Every Pet In-Bat-Ween Costume Contest is here, photos of northern Rhode Island pets submitted by our readers. Vote in the comment section below to let us know which pet you think “wore it best” this Halloween season.

If we receive enough entries prior to the Friday, Oct. 21 deadline, winners may compete in a runoff, with prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.

View an introduction to the contest and details here, and check out the prizes at stake here. Or visit the special “Pet Contest” page we’ve created for the fundraiser anytime to see links to all of the photos and related details.

    • I’m not sure if you’ve ever seen a brown Swiss dairy steer ida, especially one that has very large bone structure, but I welcome you to send me a message and I’ll happily educate you before you try to spread hurtful information. Thanks!
