GLOCESTER – A marine parts and supplies business that has been family owned and operated for nearly five decades has sold its property in Glocester for more than $1 million.

Lemieux Brothers, LLC, the company behind Inland Marine at 612 Putnam Pike, sold the property to Petrillo Properties, LLC for $1,020,000, according to a deed recorded in the Glocester Town Clerk’s office this week.

The business, opened in 1975 by Russell and Ruth Lemieux, had remained family-owned since, prior to the sale, operated in recent years by the couple’s four sons: Russell Jr., Richard, Ross and Randy. It has long been a one stop shop for area boaters, selling new and used boats along with parts and accessories, including docks, servicing and winterizing motors, and more. In 2020, the business was voted third place Boat or Marine Dealer as Reader’s Choice in the Providence Journal.

First opened in Greenville, the business moved to Glocester in the mid-1980s, first registering an address at its current location on Route 44 in 1989.

Recent business filings with the Rhode Island Secretary of State list Ross and Russell Lemieux of Chepachet as president and vice president, respectively, with Richard Lemieux of Chepachet serving as secretary. Randall Lemieux of North Scituate is listed as treasurer, with all four brothers named as directors.

The 2-acre lot and accompanying garage/office, built in 1950 according to town property records, was assessed at $405,700 in 2021.

Petrillo Properties was incorporated in May with an address listed as 612 Putnam Pike, names Colby A. Petrillo as the registered agent in the Secretary of State database.
