Police seize 856 marijuana plants, charge three men with felonies in Glocester

GLOCESTER — Three men were arrested from a home on Blackinton Drive on Monday, August 29 in connection with what police described as a large scale illegal marijuana grow.

Glocester officers reportedly seized 856 marijuana plants, about $4,000, and 40 pounds of processed marijuana packaged for distribution from the house.

Yi Zhou, 32, of Quincy, Mass.; Zhu Bin Bao, 31, of Brooklyn, NY; and Xiao Xing Dong, 32, of Bronx, NY were arrested and each charged with one count of felony possession with intent to deliver marijuana, one count of felony possession of marijuana greater than five kilograms, and one count of felony conspiracy.

The arrests were the result of a several month investigation according to a release from the department, and Glocester Police were assisted by the Federal Drug Enforcement Agency.

Police also seized one animal from the home, which is reportedly being held and cared for by Glocester Animal Control.

All three men were arraigned on Tuesday and held on $30,000 bail with surety. They were also ordered to surrender their passports.
