Flood relief drive

Berard-Desjarlais American Legion Post 88 is holding a drive for supplies for victims of flooding in east Kentucky. Items needed include contractor trash bags; cleaning supplies; non-perishable food; bottle water; batteries and toilet paper.

Free Bible Camp

New Hope Baptist church on South Main Street in Pascoag is hosting a free kids Bible camp called VBS this week from Monday, August 1 through Friday, August 5 from 6-8 p.m. Participant will venture off to Athens, shop in the “marketplace,” play games, and more. Registration is requested but not required, open to kids ages 3-12 and can be found here.

Dear Edwina Jr.

The Assembly Theatre will offer three performances of Dear Edwina Jr. this week, with shows on Friday, August 5 at 7 p.m.; Saturday, August 6 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, August 7 at 2 p.m. Tickets cost $20 or $15 for children 12 and under and can be purchased here.

Riverwalk concert

The 2022 Riverwalk Times concert series continues this week with Whiskey Road to play a free show at the Stillwater Mill Pavilion in Harrisville starting at 6 p.m. The Four Smoking Guys BBQ food truck will be on site. Concerts are moved inside the library in inclement weather.

Town meetings

The Burrillville Planning Board will not hold a meeting in August, and there are no other town or fire district meetings scheduled this week in Burrillville.

We recommend residents spend some time enjoying the summer.
