Northern, RI – It’s another summer weekend in northern Rhode Island and while many local businesses took vacations this week, there’s still plenty to do as free concerts and other summer traditions kick off.
Saturday is “Heritage Day,” in North Smithfield with a little something for everyone, from a cemetery tour featuring live actors, to a car show, kids activities and a grand finale fireworks display. We’ve listed many of the activities in the all-day celebration taking place throughout town individually below.
The Riverwalk Times Concert series also kicks off in Burrillville Saturday night, with the first free concert in a series of seven to take place every Saturday evening in Harrisville through August 20.
Sundays in the Village also begin this week, with vendors music and more at the Kent Field Pavilion in Glocester. And don’t forget to visit Acotes Hill Cemetery Saturday for Cannon Night.
Below, we’ve highlighted the best of what this weekend has to offer in a three-town radius.
And of course, as always, however you spend your time, we hope you enjoy it, and find the time to check out some of these great local stops and activities.
