Northern, RI – As temperatures begin to warm and pandemic-related restrictions begin to fade into a distant memory – for good, we hope – things are happening in northern Rhode Island, and it’s a great time to get out to enjoy local events and activities.

Welcome to The weekend, a weekly roundup that aims to get you out of the house and into that art class, theatre seat, bar stool or whatever other activity you fancy, with a listing of events happening right here in our small towns.

In Pascoag, Thai Royal transitions to spring and summer hours this week, and is now open from 11:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesdays and Thursdays; 3 p.m. to midnight on Fridays and Saturdays; and 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Sundays.

On Friday, high school students from across the region are invited to North Smithfield High School for The Cinderella Dress Event.

Our hope, as always, is to support local businesses while providing you all information you need to enjoy a fabulous weekend close to home.

Don’t forget to spread the word: you saw it on NRI NOW.
