Parents of Burrillville High School seniors in the Class of 2022 are invited to a meeting at Bravo Brewing Company on Monday, March 14 to help out with planning for an after-graduation party. Volunteers are needed according to parent Christine Yankee, who has organized the gathering to start at 7 p.m.

A Wish Come True

Resident Jerilyn Dupuis is currently looking for raffle/auction items for a few upcoming events at A Wish Come True, an organization celebrating 40 years of granting wishes this year.

Dupuis is collecting baskets, items for a baskets and gift cards, and can provide an in-kind letter for donations for tax purposes. Dupuis notes that there are currently three kids in Burrillville facing a life threatening illness and waiting to have their wish granted.

Bravo to host St. Patrick’s Day fundraiser for Ukraine

Mix the Blue and Yellow of the Ukraine and you get Irish green.

Locals are invited to show their Irish green by supporting the blue and yellow of Ukraine. Visit Bravo Brewing Company in Pascoag from 6 to 9 p.m. on St. Patrick’s Day to support the International Rescue Committee’s efforts to provide food and medicine to the Ukrainian population as they are under assault by Russian aggression.

Easter buckets

Burrillville Rocks has free Easter buckets available for local children, and is now taking orders. The buckets are geared for kids ages 2-4.

The group, run by Roger Bourbonniere, has also established a kindness rocks garden inside the Tractor Supply Store in Coventry in addition to the community garden at 1183 Victory Highway in Oakland. The Oakland garden will soon feature a share section, an American/Ukrainian section, a memorial section, and a fairy section, and all are welcomed to contribute.

Town meetings

The Burrillville Recreation Committee will hold a meeting on Monday, March 14 starting at 6:30 p.m. at the Department of Public Works offices at 200 Clearwater Drive. The agenda is here.

The Burrillville School Committee will hold a meeting on Tuesday, March 15 starting at 6 p.m. in the cafeteria of Burrillville High School at 425 East Ave. The agenda can be found here.

The Burrillville Conservation Commission will hold a meeting on Tuesday, march 15 starting at 7 p.m. at American Legion Post #17 at 103 Harrisville Main St. The agenda is here.
