Burrillville teen hospitalized following collision between car & dirt bike

BURRILLVILLE – A 16-year-old Burrillville boy remains hospitalized after the dirt bike he was driving collided with a car on Saturday, Oct. 9.

Burrillville police were called to the rollover accident at around 3:30 p.m. Saturday afternoon in the area of 500 Cooper Hill Road, and found the dirt bike rider unconscious with serious injuries, according to Major Albert Carlow.

The juvenile was transported to Hasbro Children’s Hospital then later transferred to Yale New Haven Hospital in Connecticut.

The occupants of the second vehicle, three additional juveniles, were reportedly not injured.

Carlow said no charges have been filed related to the crash, and the accident remains under investigation by the Burrillville Police Department.
