NORTH SMITHFIELD – Paul Zwolenski, candidate for the position of North Smithfield Town Administrator said this week that he will not accept campaign contributions, vowing also to choose his advisors and associates carefully.

“Every campaign has strategies that involve contributions and who their advisers will be,” said Zwolenski. “While there are no right or wrong answers to these topics there are consequences on how they are handled.”

“As I have in my past campaigns, I pledged to refuse any financial contributions,” he said. “My obligations have always been and always will be to the residents of our town and never to any single contributor or small group of contributors.”

For advisors, Zwolenski said he will continue to rely on his wife, Norine Zwolenski, as he has in all previous campaigns.

“I continue this pledge to reassure the residents that my only obligation will be to act in their best interests and the best interests of our town,” he said.

“I believe town residents can have confidence in the people I choose to serve in my administration based upon my good judgement and years of experience serving in government, business and education,” Zwolenski said. “I understand how important it is to choose advisors and associates carefully.”

“I know that as town administrator, I will be judged by the people that surround me,” he said. “I humbly ask for your support and vote.”
