Suspect picked up for Lil’ General break-in, wanted for attempted murder

NORTH SMITHFIELD – Members of the North Smithfield Police Department have arrested a suspect for a reported break-in at Lil’ General and the 24-year-old will now also face charges for attempted murder out of Medway, Mass.

Carlos Walker of Woonsocket was charged with breaking and entering, larceny, vandalism and obstruction related to a break in the took place at the store on Thursday, Oct. 8.

According to a release from the department, NSPD investigated the incident and worked with officers from Woonsocket, Medway, and Blackstone, Mass. to arrest Walker on Monday, Oct. 19 in Woonsocket.

“This arrest would not have been possible had it not been for the interagency cooperation and investigation efforts from all of the agencies,” noted the release.

Walker also had a warrant out of Medway on charges of attempted murder.

He was arraigned in 3rd district court and remanded to the adult Correctional Institution in Cranston.
