Bag up your unwanted clothing items. The Burrillville Patriots will be holding a clothing drive fundraiser. The group will collect trash bags of items at Hauser field on Saturday, Oct. 24 and Sunday, Oct. 25 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The town of Burrillville is reminding residents that political signs cannot be placed on town or state property including parks, street signs, poles, roadways and sidewalks.
In a notice this week, town officials also asked that residents do not deface, damage, relocate or steal signs from private property, noting that all must be removed by ten days after the election scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 3.

Soldiers and Saddles
The Ocean State Jeepsters will hold the Soldiers And Saddles Benefit Trail Ride on Saturday, Oct. 10, a day of wheeling to help Project ComeBack, an organization the brings together veterans and rescue horses.
Trail options will range from stock-friendly to moderate and event staff will be on hand to lead those who are new to trail riding. This event will also include a raffle.
Tickets cost $40 and can be purchased here.
PVD Food Trucks will return to the grounds of the Assembly Theatre on Sunday, Oct. 11 from 4 to 7:30 p.m. The event is free, and guests can enjoy music by Paul Juneau while purchasing a variety of foods, plus beer and wine. Social distancing guidelines will be followed.
The Burrillville Planning Board will hold their regular meeting on Monday, Oct. 5 starting at 7 p.m. The agenda and instructions to attend can be found here.
The Nasonville Fire District will hold their annual meeting on Tuesday, Oct. 6 starting at 7 p.m. at the fire station at 2577 Victory Highway. The agenda includes the election of officers and a budget for the upcoming fiscal year and can be found here.
