BURRILLVILLE – Burrillville cartoonist, safety advocate and NRI NOW contributing artist Jim Weicherding is bringing his award-winning traffic safety campaign to the radio this summer reminding kids and families to “Buckleupallofus.”

Weicherding recently went into a popular radio studio to produce brand new Buckleupallofus child passenger traffic safety radio promos that are now airing every hour, twenty-four hours every day on the I-95.1 Classic Rock radio station, as well as three sister radio stations heard by thousands of radio listeners across the state of Rhode Island and Eastern Connecticut.

The new Bucky radio promos podcasts are heard nationwide. Weicherding is also developing a brand new radio production of a weekly “After-School” Buckleupallofus Kids Radio Show that will air once every week at 4 or 5 p.m. NRI NOW will announce air dates and times as soon as they become available, so locals can tune in to all of fun and safety-themed weekly programs featuring not only Buckleupallofus, but most of Weicherding’s award-winning cartoon characters.

Cartoon characters appearances include the Itty Bitty Super Dupers, Fearless Dino Protector Squad, Li’l Skipper & Clam Cakes, The Bus Stop Kids, Victor Virus and Codey’s Snow Safety Crew.

“This new Buckleupallofus Kids’ Radio Show should be a big hit with kids and families, teachers, librarians, daycare workers, pediatricians, nurses, police officers, fire fighters and child safety advocates,” Weicherding said. “Bucky will have special guests and friends appearing on his radio show to discuss all kinds of safety and health topics related to kids and families.”

There will also be coloring contests and prizes for all of the kids participating with a variety of games and activities.
