Spider web art

Jesse Smith Memorial Library will host a crafting session for spider web art on Wednesday,  Oct. 23. The program is best for children ages 4-10. Guests are invited to drop in to the children’s department between 5 and 7 p.m.

Free energy audit

The Pascoag Utility District is offering free home energy assessments through Energy New England that come with potential incentives for customers who take advantage of services including insulation, air sealing and thermostat programing. The offer is for a limited time.

Spooky stories, Halloween fun

On Thursday, Oct. 24, Pascoag Public Library will host an all ages event with crafts, stories and snacks to celebrate the season dubbed “Spooky Stories and Halloween Fun,” from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Registration is appreciated but not required by calling 568-6226.

Taxes due

Second quarter taxes due to the town of Burrillville should be paid this week and will have no interest until Nov. 1. Payments can be dropped off, mailed or paid online here. Taxes unpaid after Nov. 1 will be subject to a 12 percent penalty.

Town meetings

The Branch River Park & Track Exploratory Committee will hold their regular meeting on Monday, Oct. 21 starting at 6 p.m. at the Burrillville town building.

The Burrillville Town Council will hold their regular meeting on Wednesday, Oct. 23 starting at 7 p.m. in the town building for an agenda that can be found here.
