NORTH SMITHFIELD – A car that witnesses say was speeding down North Main Street split in two Wednesday, Sept. 18 after crashing into Town Hall.
Two females were reportedly taken to the hospital following the incident, which took place around 9 p.m.
The side of the building, a historic structure built in the early 1920s, was damaged in the incident.
The women’s condition is unknown at this time and the incident is under investigation by the North Smithfield Police Department.
