Easter event tickets on sale/volunteers needed

The Burrillville Parks & Recreation Department has scheduled the town’s annual Easter activities and is seeking volunteers to help out with the events.

Breakfast with the Easter Bunny will take place at Burrillville Middle School on Saturday, April 6 at 10 a.m.

The breakfast menu includes scrambled eggs, home fries, bacon, pancakes, donuts, muffins, juice, hot cocoa and coffee.  Tickets are $7 per person and can be purchased by contacting the Burrillville Parks & Recreation Department at 568-9470 or via e-mail at parksandrec@burrillville.org.

Guests will have the chance to decorate their own Easter cupcakes and take part in face painting and a craft activity provided by the Jesse Smith Library.

Following the breakfast, the town’s annual egg hunt will take place outside the school for children ages eight and under. The Easter Bunny will visit with youngsters and raffle tickets will be available for $1 each to win one of the many Easter baskets. All proceeds from the Easter Basket raffle will be to benefit the Burrillville Weekend Snack Pack Program for needy children.
