Softball tournament

Nicole McConnell Foundation 10th Annual Coed Softball Tournament will be held on Saturday, Oct. 6 starting at 7 a.m. at Hauser Field. The event will include at least 3-4 games with a one pitch format. Open House

The Burrillville Historical & Preservation Society will hold its 17th annual Open House on Saturday, Oct. 6 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Bridgeton School at 16 Laurel Hill Ave. in Pascoag. There will also be a yard sale as well as a Book Sale and Bake Sale. The event will be held rain or shine.

See a display of old farm tools and old farm photos, as well as other old photos and artifacts and research materials. Learn about the Gravestone Conservation Program and volunteer to help clean some of the town’s abandoned cemeteries. Find out how you can help by adopting a cemetery.

Pink Out

Burrillville High School soccer teams will play alumni teams to raise funds for the American Cancer Society on Saturday, Oct. 6 from 1 to 5 p.m. at the high school, with boys at 1 p.m. and girls at 3 p.m. There will be food and items for raffle at the event. Tickets cost $5 each or $10 per family.

New mineral club

The Burrillville Mineral Club will hold its first meeting on Saturday, Oct. 6 from 3 to 4 p.m. at the Jesse Smith Memorial Library. New members will discuss what the club will be about and start planning club activities. Those who plan to be part of the club have been asked to complete a short survey to help members to better organize the new group. The survey can be found here.

Last day to register

The last day to register to vote in the 2018 general election is Sunday, Oct. 7. The Town Building will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on October 7 only to accept last minute voter registrations.
