NORTH SMITHFIELD – The Rhode Island Department of Transportation will continue improvements on Route 146 this week, resulting in alternating road closures on several sections of highway.
The left lane of the highway will be closed for bridgework on Wednesday at the Spring Brook Bridge over Route 146A, the Forestdale Bridge over the Branch River, and the Old Great Road Bridge. Bridge work will take place on Wednesday, April 29 from 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
On Route 146 South at the Massachusetts line, there will be alternating lane closures and closure of Exit 1 for milling and paving, Fri., 7 a.m.-5 p.m.
