Blood drive

The annual blood drive at Village Haven Restaurant will take place on Wednesday, March 11 from 3 to 7 p.m. Help to save lives and receive $10 off your meal, excluding alcohol.

Donors are reminded to bring their driver’s license or other form of identification.

Business leaders meeting

The Northern Rhode Island Chamber of Commerce will host a meeting at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, March 11 at Banneker Industries at 582 Great Road, Suite 101 for those interested in learning about current and future development in North Smithfield.

Do you own, operate or are employed by a business in the town of North Smithfield? You are invited to the free event for North Smithfield business leaders. Town Administrator Gary Ezovski will recap the past year’s activity with insight regarding what to expect for North Smithfield in 2020 and beyond.

You do not have to be a Chamber member to attend this meeting, which will also include an opportunity to meet the Chamber’s new President/CEO Liz Catucci, and to network with fellow business leaders. There is no cost to attend, but seating is limited, and registration is required. Click here to register.

Push-Up-A-Thon

Mastery Martial Art is teaming up with the New England Hemophilia Association to raise money for blood disorder awareness month. The business is holding a “Push-Up-A-Thon” to do 20,000 push ups to raise funds to help 20,000 people on Saturday, March 14 from 9:30 a.m. to noon.

Kick it with Keno & Gresh

The Rhode Island Lottery will be at Lindy’s Tavern on Wednesday, March 11 from 6-9 p.m. along with Andy Gresh from WPRO and the WPRO Street Team.

Gresh will be broadcasting live and talking sports. Everyone 18 and older in attendance will get a $1 free Keno play, and for every $5 Keno purchase, participants will get a raffle ticket.

Raffle winners will be drawn throughout the night to pick a prize from the Keno board. Prizes include: Lottery merchandise, Instant Tickets, Providence Bruins tickets, Patriots apparel, and more. Midway through the promotion, one lucky winner will be drawn to win a Patriots Prize Pack.

Winners must be present to win.

Town meetings

The North Smithfield Zoning Board will hold their regular meeting on Tuesday, March 10 starting at 7 p.m. at Primrose Fire Station.

The North Smithfield Conservation Commission will hold their regular meeting on Wednesday, March 11 starting at 6:30 p.m. at Memorial Town Hall at 1 Main St. for an agenda found here.

The Budget Committee will hold a meeting on Thursday, March 12 starting at 6 p.m. at Memorial Town Hall for an agenda found here.
