NORTH SMITHFIELD – A pizza franchise coming to Slatersville Plaza secured a license this week for hours extending to midnight on weekdays and 1 a.m. on Friday and Saturday nights.

Diene Group, LLC doing business as Domino’s Pizza has secured all of the needed approvals to open up shop at 900 Victory Highway, Unit 15.

Franchise owner Natasha Botelho of North Smithfield appeared before the Town Council on Monday, March 2 to obtain a license for the business. The restaurant will occupy a 1,600-square-foot space between H & R Block and Salon 900, which previously housed Crazy Daisy consignment shop.

While the national company’s website listing for the new restaurant states hours as 12 a.m. to 12 a.m., the applicant did not apply for a 24-hour license.  The business will be open 10:30 a.m. to midnight Sunday through Thursday, and 10:30 a.m. to 1 a.m. on Friday and Saturday nights, according to a license approved unanimously by the council this week.

The restaurant is known for its pizza, but also sells chicken, sandwiches, pasta, breads, sides and desserts, and will offer takeout and delivery.  Previously, the closest franchise location for North Smithfield residents was in Woonsocket.

Botelho, a certified food safety manager, noted the business will open “very soon.”

“The coolers are in there, the boxes are in there. They’re just waiting to push the pizzas out the door,” said Town Council President Paul Vadenais.

Botelho is still hiring for the new Slatersville location, and those interested are asked to apply at jobs.dominos.com.
