Troop 1 fundraiser

Serios Pizzarama will host a chowder and clam cake fundraiser for Boy Scouts Troop One of Pascoag from 4:30 to 8 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 17. The donation for the event is $10 for adults or $5 for kids age 4-12, and tickets will be available at the door. Lemonade and fruit punch is included, and chicken and fries will also be available.

A game to make history

The Broncos boys basketball team travels to Prout tonight, Monday, Feb. 17, to take on the Crusaders at 7 p.m. for an important game.

The team needs to win one of their last two games to secure a playoff spot, and one player aims to become just the third male in Burrillville basketball history to score 1000 points. Player Sam Clifford needs just 11 points to accomplish this milestone.

“Those who know Sam know how great of a young man he is,” noted Coach Kevin Randall in announcing the game. “He has been on a tear lately, and his 42 point performance in our upset win over Shea Friday night has put this amazing accomplishment very much within reach.”

Support the team at the game at 4640 Tower Hill Road in Wakefield.

Tonight is also senior night for the Broncos girls basketball team. Support the girls at home with a junior varsity game at 5:15 p.m. and varsity at 7 p.m.
