No. Smithfield warehouse damaged in two-alarm fire

NORTH SMITHFIELD – A fire at a warehouse complex Saturday morning damaged a storage room and reportedly brought out firefighters from multiple neighboring agencies.

The blaze, which was called in around 2:30 a.m., damaged the Liberty Building at 229 Quaker Highway, a property that houses businesses including Atlantic Footcare, Empire Motorsports, MTR Machine and MTR Guns & Ammo.

The two-alarm fire was reportedly contained to the storage room. The building is owned by CCC Realty Group of West Warwick, according to town property records.

There were no injuries in the incident, which is still under investigation.
