Holiday on the Farm, Stretch & Sip: Five things to know in Burrillville this weekend

O Holy Night!

First Universalist Church at 114 Main St. in Harrisville will hold a Christmas Candlelight service on Friday, Dec. 20 tarting at 7 p.m. Visit early to see the lighting of the historic chandelier. The guest minister will be Dennis Anderson. The service will feature Peter Lamoria playing the organ, and the combined choirs of St. Theresa’s Church and Our Lady of Good Help. Special music will be provided by “Fishing with Finnegan.”

All are welcome and refreshments will follow the service.

Bake Sale

Help out the Burrillville Animal Shelter and pick up some holiday goodies on Saturday at a Bake Sale from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Brigido’s IGA. There will also be a collection box for the shelter to drop off dog and cat food, grooming supplies, crates/carriers, treats, toys, leashes, blankets and towels.

Stretch & Sip

Yoga with Ashley will host a “Stretch and Sip” event at Bravo Brewing Company on Saturday, Dec. 21 starting at 10:30 a.m. Do 75 minutes of vinyasa flow, followed by a beer tasting.  Venmo @Ashley-Ciummo with the date of the event to sign up for $20 in advance, or pay $25 at the door.

Space is limited so advance registration and payment is recommended.

Holiday on the farm

Old Fieldstone Farm will host Holiday on the Farm on Sunday from noon to 3 p.m. at 1145 Cherry Farm Road. Stop by for some last minute shopping with Alpaca items, farm calendars and note cards for sale. See the animals in their winter fleeces and enjoy Christmas music, cookies and hot chocolate.

Barn Service

The Episcopal Conference Center will host a special service in their barn on Sunday, Dec. 22 from 5 to 8 p.m. Guests are invited to bundle up, bring a blanket, and enjoy a brief service in the barn by the fire. After the service, relax, warm up and enjoy a simple soup meal and fellowship. All are welcome.
