BB gun bandit hits cars, homes across northern Rhode Island

BURRILLVILLE – Cars and homes in Burrillville have been damaged six times over the past several days by an unknown party shooting a BB gun in what appears to be a destructive spree across northern Rhode Island.

According to reports, 14 cars in Lincoln had their widows damaged on Monday, Nov. 25, at night in the Manville section of town.

In Cumberland, police reported three such incidents.

Burrillville police said no one was injured by the shots fired in town, but homes and vehicles sustained damage.

North Smithfield police said there were three incidents in town, but did not have further information available.

Residents in Glocester discussed four incidents they said took place off of Route 44 on social media.

The Lincoln Police Department reportedly told NBC 10 News that they believe the suspects were driving around in a light-colored coupe with tinted windows. The department is asking anyone with surveillance cameras to check for suspicious activity from 9:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m on Monday. Anyone with information about the shootings in that town is asked to call the department at 401-333-1111.
