Community Heart Saver CPR/AED Class

The North Smithfield Fire and Rescue Service will be offering an American Heart Association Heart Saver CPR/AED class to North Smithfield residents and business owners.

Upon successful completion of the four hour class, students will be fully trained and certified in Heart Saver CPR and trained on how to operate an Automated Electronic Defibrillator.

The class will be held at the NSFR Station #2, 1470 Providence Pike, on Wednesday, Dec. 11, from 6 to 10 p.m. The cost of the class is $60 per person, and the fee includes the cost of text books and certification cards. The class must have a minimum of three students and a maximum of ten students.

RSVP to Chief David Chartier at 762-1135 no later than 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 27. Because text books need to be ordered in advance, payment must be received before the order is placed on Monday, Dec. 2 to secure your spot in the class.

The class is for lay person CPR/AED instruction. Healthcare provider CPR and CPR re-certification classes may be offered in the future or upon request.

An additional drop box for food items is available at the Town Hall during regular business hours.
